Kali Xion is named for the Hindu Warrior
Goddess of Death, Time & Change but at times he takes on the likeness of countless others, archetypes we can use to navigate God within. He is Hanuman, Monkey God! Hanuman's myth recognizes how worship of Hanuman as a God of power and fearlessness alone paint him as too masculine and distant for the role of divine healer. Local legends surround the Monkey-God with the feminine-maternal principle and the “feminine” powers of nurturance, warmth, concern, intuitive understanding and relatedness - essential to the healing process. Notorious folklore situating this God's power goes that for millions of years, Hanuman sat there in the lap of his Mother who "kissed his face" and "gave him both her breasts to drink from," Mother and son absorbed in their spiritual practices for a time spanning many world ages.
