Hip Hop and Hope:

BEAT’s 2020 Virtual Gala
Press Release For Immediate Release and Distribution

Queens, New York, October 5, 2020 -- On November 19, 2020, 6:00-7:00 PM EST, BEAT (Bridging Education & Art Together) will host its first Virtual Annual Gala with the theme Hip Hop and Hope. This year’s honorees include 10-time Grammy Award winner Bobby McFerrin, renowned disability dance group ILL-Abilities, and AHRC Transition Developer Jonathon Epstein -- three entities who embody hope in their tireless advocacy for the arts. They join the growing list of prominent figures BEAT has previously honored, such as Congressman Charles Rangel, Hip Hop Historian Joe Conzo, and Beatbox legend Rahzel the Godfather of Noise.

BEAT is a NYC-based non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of youth and people with disabilities through creative self-expression rooted in Hip Hop culture. Since the lockdown, BEAT added three new virtual programs and twelve new partnerships, empowering them to engage with hundreds of participants who are in need of normalcy in this time of great uncertainty.

BEAT’s efforts to sustain NYC’s communities through difficult times using art is their way of emulating the joy and generative improvisation that is at the heart of Hip Hop.

The one-hour event will feature both live and pre-recorded content, as well as a few surprises you won’t want to miss. The Gala will feature speeches from honorees and performances by BEAT’s instructors, all of whom are professionals performing at the top of their field, alongside a selection of students they have mentored through BEAT’s virtual programming. BEAT will also announce their first ever Rising Change-Maker who will be a young person aged 14-18 years old that uses their musical talents to uplift their community. Attendees will receive a special surprise gift so that everyone feels the bond of the BEAT family, whether near or afar.

To RSVP, please go to: https://hip-hop-and-hope-beats-2020-virtual-gala-92825.causevox.com. The suggested ticket donation is $20. Each ticket purchased will help BEAT provide quality arts education to under-resourced youth and people with disabilities. Your support is crucial to their efforts.

7 Reasons why becoming a member of Beat365 rocks.

As you already might know I go by the alias Undakova (Undercover) and I am beat maker, DJ and MC here in NYC. I have been producing hip hop beats since the 90s and have produced my own hip hop instrumentals for my album created here in New York City. I often get asked by R & B artist and MCs "Can you produce some beats for my album?" One day the question popped up in my head "Where does an artist find great sounding Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them?" If an artist doesn't have a friend or business partner who is a producer or know how to/ want to produce beats on there own spare time (which can take a lot of time and money) where does he/she find a complete collection of hip hop beats? Well the answer is simple. . . . To find Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them go to Beats365
