Autism & The Arts Panel Recap

"Art is my life," Jayson Valles exclaimed, perfectly encapsulating the spirit and intent of our first ever Autism & The Arts Panel Discussion. Jayson is an Autistic Self-Advocate and multidisciplinary artist who spoke alongside Emanuel FrownerConstance Van Rolleghem, Jonathon Epstein, and Gloria Pizzaro on how folks in the ASD community can incorporate arts activities into their home routines.

Virtual Open Mic

Last week's Virtual Open Mic featured alumni from the BEAT Explorers program! Edwin Aguila took us through his roots and heritage by performing a song that speaks on being Puerto Rican in NYC. Following Edwin, previous Open Mic guest Felipe Pau (aka PhillyPhresh) made an exciting return! While on a break at work, he sang a love song from his previous project Picture Perfect

Thank You Brittany Wilson

The BEAT family sends a very big thank you to our incredible Program Director, Brittany Wilson. Brittany joined BEAT back in 2017 and this past Friday marked 3 years of her hard work and dedication to furthering BEAT's mission of upholding youth through Hip Hop arts education. We wouldn't have the reach or invaluable partnerships that we do without Brittany Wilson on our team. As Hannah Kim, our Board Chair, recently remarked, "Brittany is integral and indispensable to BEAT." Thank you, Brittany, for blessing BEAT with your intelligence and determination❤

7 Reasons why becoming a member of Beat365 rocks.

As you already might know I go by the alias Undakova (Undercover) and I am beat maker, DJ and MC here in NYC. I have been producing hip hop beats since the 90s and have produced my own hip hop instrumentals for my album created here in New York City. I often get asked by R & B artist and MCs "Can you produce some beats for my album?" One day the question popped up in my head "Where does an artist find great sounding Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them?" If an artist doesn't have a friend or business partner who is a producer or know how to/ want to produce beats on there own spare time (which can take a lot of time and money) where does he/she find a complete collection of hip hop beats? Well the answer is simple. . . . To find Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them go to Beats365
