We are thrilled to share that the Honorable Charles B. Rangel, former Congressman representing Harlem and the Bronx will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at our upcoming BEAT Birthday Bash on November 19th.


 
Known as the “Lion of Lenox Avenue,” Charles B. Rangel is a war hero, history-making congressman, and master lawmaker. A founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, he made history as the first African American to lead the powerful Ways and Means Committee. With a House career that spanned 46 years, Mr. Rangel was one of the longest-serving Members of Congress in American history and sponsored 40 bills and resolutions that became law throughout his tenure. He was the primary sponsor to President Obama's historic health care reform law. Following Saint Matthew's teaching, he has been a stalwart champion for the "least among us," dedicated to improving the lives of working families, fighting for jobs and education, and advocating for equality and justice.

As you already might know I go by the alias Undakova (Undercover) and I am beat maker, DJ and MC here in NYC. I have been producing hip hop beats since the 90s and have produced my own hip hop instrumentals for my album created here in New York City. We will continue to spread the joy of music to everyone regardless of race, gender, ability or disability.  Happy Cerebral Palsy Awarness Month Cerebral palsy is a neurological disability, a condition marked by impaired muscle coordination (spastic paralysis) and/or other disabilities, typically caused by damage to the brain before or at birth. This affects thousands of children and adults worldwide. March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, which allows us to celebrate and educate others about the disorder.
