10 of the most influential books I've read in 2010

Hello my neyba. This past year I was fortunate to have the time to have read many books from home and with peace of mind. Some of them I read each day only one page at a time. For example the books by Melody Beattie and KRS-One were meditational in my reading. I would read one page a day and meditate on the ideas and thoughts of the book each day.

Other books I read in a matter of weeks and skimmed through for example the book "Money Greed and God" and "WorldChanging." I sped read chapters faster than I would normally read through a book just to satisfy my own emotions revolved around the topics in the books and various subjects and viewpoints I was more interested in looking at over others.

The "Twitter Power" book as well as "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" to me were more like seminars where I would practice what I read in the book in real time as I went along. Same with the book by Mantak Chia.

Well I would prefer you check out the books for yourself and see which ones can make an impact on your year as they have on mine.  Here are 10 of the very best books I have read in 2010. Looking forward to more knowledge and wisdom in 2011. I can recommend these titles to you whole heartedly. I hope you can check them out and enjoy them. Peace and love.

7 Reasons why becoming a member of Beat365 rocks.

As you already might know I go by the alias Undakova (Undercover) and I am beat maker, DJ and MC here in NYC. I have been producing hip hop beats since the 90s and have produced my own hip hop instrumentals for my album created here in New York City. I often get asked by R & B artist and MCs "Can you produce some beats for my album?" One day the question popped up in my head "Where does an artist find great sounding Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them?" If an artist doesn't have a friend or business partner who is a producer or know how to/ want to produce beats on there own spare time (which can take a lot of time and money) where does he/she find a complete collection of hip hop beats? Well the answer is simple. . . . To find Hip hop, r&b and rap beats that sound so good you play them in your car for fun as well as record song after song with them go to Beats365...

Rumor or Fact: Guitar Center is about to change hands.

I don't really trust what you read online. You have to do your own research. Its always a good way to start a inquire or conversation. Is taking information from blogs as straight raw facts a good idea? I always noticed that blogs are usually someones opinion and not the news, and even the news is opinionated and rarely factual these days(in my blog opinion).  Anyhow the link below is written  Eric Garland a "trend analyst" who alledgely has the inside scoop on what is going on behind the company Guitar Center. What you will read after clicking the link can change the landscape of the music industry and many other businesses, musicians. Check it out and see for yourself how YOU might directly be affected by Guitar Center's changing of ownership. Reminds me of when someone told me that Tower Records was going to close down in the city and I wouldn't be able to preview vinyl records the same way I grew up doing because there would be a main online store that ...

Can somebody say Amen

After a week of seeing different people come in our house and leave our house with smiles on there faces still our sublet process is not complete. I wake up today and meditate my stress's away. Well most of em. Yesterday I spent all day working on a proposal for a school in Washington heights who seem to be interested in having an after-school program formulated by my company Willpowa. Weeks went by and I spent my days working on music and completing songs in the studio only to leave the proposal writing up to a trusted friend and fellow mc. Suffice to say it never got completed due to my energy being scattered amongst recording and subleting my place. Not to mention being a good boyfriend through the process. So turns out my friends from the UK want to look over it this weekend so I will have to submit the proposal in a bit late anyhow but hopefully with more spunk than it had in the first place. Anyway lets just say the only thing that helped me from not having a nervous breakdow...
